Kids are back in school, but what does that look like for Our Little Haven?
September is a busy month for Our Little Haven. Throughout the month we will be raising awareness around childhood mental/behavioral health and promoting ways to support the children and families receiving our services.
Back to School at Keystone Mental Health Services means an increase in initial assessments and treatment. Children are around more adults (or referral sources: pediatricians, teachers, school administrators, etc.) who can help recognize if a child might benefit from our mental/behavioral health services.
Back to School at Our Little Academy Day Treatment Preschool means helping graduates with a successful transition into Kindergarten. Our Therapists help each child's new teacher set up an Individualized Education Program and prepares them with a new backpack filled to the brim with school supplies.
Back to School at Taylor Family Care Center means children in our foster care program are headed back to school. Foster families tend to have limited resources, so we are here to help with back to school outfits, supplies, and even technology. We make sure our children do not have any barriers when starting or returning to school.
