Planned Giving

You can create a lasting legacy---while helping Our Little Haven change children’s lives---through a planned gift to Our Little Haven.

A planned gift is a charitable gift that is integrated into your overall financial and estate plans. Making Our Little Haven a beneficiary may make you or your estate eligible for substantial pre-tax advantages, or tax deductions.

There are several different types of planned gifts:

Bequest Provisions
Bequests are gifts made to Our Little Haven by will or trust. A charitable bequest to Our Little Haven may be designated as a dollar amount, a percentage of an estate or a specific asset. Gifts can have the advantage of reducing the impact of the federal estate tax on the donor’s estate.

Life Income Arrangements
Life income arrangements can be obtained through a “charitable remainder trust” that will provide you with a lifetime income. After the trust period is terminated, Our Little Haven receives the remainder of the trust. A “charitable gift annuity” is also an attractive lifetime income vehicle because the gift is partially tax free.

Charitable Lead Trust
A “charitable lead trust” can include a gift in a will that provides annual contributions to Our Little haven for as many years as you like. The property then passes to your children, grandchildren, or other heirs---with dramatic tax savings.

Life Insurance
You can designate Our Little Haven as the primary or continent beneficiary on an existing or new life insurance policy. There could be some income tax savings through transferring ownership of insurance policies meeting certain requirements.

Retirement Assets
Our Little Haven can be named as beneficiary of a portion---or all---of your qualified plan or IRA.
